01Overview

AppBlips is a free, open-source desktop application operated by TechMitten LLC. The desktop app runs on your own computer and does not require an AppBlips account. This policy explains what the AppBlips website and desktop app do with information.

02Desktop App Data

• Projects: Your prompts, generated code, attachments, and project history are stored locally on your computer. TechMitten does not receive or store them.
• AI credentials: Provider keys you add are stored locally and protected by your operating system keychain.
• AI requests: When you use a third-party AI provider directly, the desktop app sends the content needed for your request directly to that provider. When you use optional AppBlips AI Credits, the desktop app sends your prompt context to appblips.com to verify your credit balance with Polar.sh and relay the request to DeepSeek; TechMitten does not store your prompts or generated code after the response streams back.
• Downloads and updates: On Windows, AppBlips is distributed and updated through the Microsoft Store. When you download, install, or update the app through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft collects and processes installation, update, usage, and diagnostic analytics in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement, and provides aggregate store analytics to TechMitten. Outside the Microsoft Store, the app may contact GitHub to check for releases or download updates, and GitHub receives the technical information normally included in a network request.

03Website Data

When you visit appblips.com, our hosting provider processes ordinary request data such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp to deliver and secure the site.

• Analytics: We use a self-hosted Umami installation to understand aggregate page traffic. It does not use cookies, store information on your device, or track you across unrelated websites.
• Chat assistant: The "AppBlips Guide" chat on appblips.com is an automated assistant provided by Botpress. Botpress receives the messages and any files you send, along with technical details such as your IP address and browser, and generates the replies. The chat keeps your conversation history in your browser so you can pick it up again later. Please don't share passwords, API keys, or other sensitive information in the chat.
• Contact form: If you contact us, Web3Forms delivers the name, email address, topic, and message you submit. We use that information only to respond and keep it as long as reasonably necessary for support and business records.

04Third-Party Services

• Cloudflare hosts and secures appblips.com.
• Microsoft distributes the Windows app through the Microsoft Store, delivers automatic updates, and processes store download, installation, usage, and diagnostic analytics under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
• GitHub hosts the source code and desktop releases.
• Web3Forms delivers messages submitted through the contact form.
• Botpress provides the automated chat assistant on appblips.com.
• Mintlify hosts the documentation website.
• Your chosen AI provider processes prompts and related project content only when you ask the desktop app to use that provider.

05Your Choices

You control the projects and credentials stored by the desktop app and can remove them from your computer at any time. You can avoid third-party AI processing by using a compatible local model. 06Children's Privacy

AppBlips is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an AppBlips account because the desktop app has no account system. If you believe a child submitted personal information through our website, contact us so we can remove it.
